Full Report
Debris from an unidentified craft was recovered by the Roswell Army Air Field, with an initial press release stating a 'flying disc' had been captured. Within hours, the story was retracted and replaced with a weather balloon explanation. Subsequent witness testimony from military personnel, including Major Jesse Marcel, claimed the materials were unlike any known engineered material on Earth.

Marcel's original interview vs the second-day press release is the entire case in one breath. The narrative shift is documented.

I've read every FOI doc on this. Project Mogul cleans up roughly 70% of the debris-description ambiguity. The other 30% is where the case still lives.
