The Vimanas of the Vedas

The Vedas, the Mahabharata and the Ramayana describe vimanas, flying chariots used by gods and heroes for travel and warfare. Some passages detail propulsion via 'mercury vortex' and weapons of impossible destructive force. Sanskrit scholars debate whether these are mythological or encoded memories.
